This week has been unusual for me. I've been happy, sad, busy, tired and excited. Actually, I guess that's not unusual - totally normal week then. This month we've been working on Nuelie's room, and I'm trying to get his quilt finally quilted. The front and back of the quilt started years ago, and I've had the panels done for a couple years now. I even started quilting this thing and half way through I ripped all the seams out. When will I get this quilt done?!? I thought I'd let the kids have fun and let them play with the panels and you'd get to see what the quilt looks like.

They are growing up a lot... Ellie was sad to be left out of going to school today. I guess she's really ready now!
These two are best friends. They hug for about three minutes at pickup time. They're so kind to each other.

What it looks like from the back.
Ellie had just unhappily woken up from a nap.

The back of the quilt is a large red square in the middle and white and beige parts around it.
Saying "cheese."

Still sleepy...

They were being Mary and Joseph.
Trying to convince Ellie to be baby Jesus.

Thankful that these kiddos are mine, and that they comply with these photoshoots. I bribe them with candy and Julie's Greenroom!

I love making pretty things that my kids can actually use. Quilts should be used and loved.
